ToggleIf you have not yet figured out the 3 easy ways to sell on Facebook, you are most certainly leaving money on the table.
In this post am going to show you the straight-to-the-point ways l use to sell practically anything on Facebook, and strongly advise you to try it out too.
This is on the assumption that you already have a Facebook account and you are going to be using it in a moment to make your first sale.
And that you also have something you want to sell as this article is not on how to figure out what to sell.
However, if you need a push on coming up with what to sell, check out this resource on How You can start any business on the net.
If you are a one-time seller on Facebook, the easiest thing to do is go ahead and list your wares on the marketplace.
According to statcounter, more than 61 percent of global social media users are on Facebook as at May 2024.
So you don’t want to miss out on the opportunities of marketing on this global platform.
But if you want to make something substantial out of your Facebook presence, you need to follow these 3 easy ways to sell on FaceBook.
NUMBER ONE: Create a business page
Creating a Facebook page gives you access to all the important tools you need to make a success of your Facebook marketing.
While you are on it choose a name that closely relates to what you are going to be selling.
In the page creation window, simply choose the following:
- Page name
- category
- page description
Click next and follow the prompts you see and you will be good.
But if you are going to be selling a host of other different things, you may want to get a generic name for your page.
Once you are done with the above, put in the needed effort to generate at least 50 likes.
This should be easy considering that you probably already have more than that number of friends.
keep your page up-to-date and interesting by posting regularly on it. Do not keep your followers waiting for new content for so long.
If you already own a website, then link it with your business page so that you can cross-post on the two platforms.
NUMBER 2: List your items on the Facebook marketplace.
Want to earn money as a freelancer?
Leveraging the immense power of the marketplace is something you do not want to neglect.
Head on to the marketplace and list your item, set a reasonable price, and be sure to list in multiple market groups as this will enhance your exposure.
As of the time of this article, Facebook does not allow the selling of digital products.
Should you want to sell digital products, you can and should promote them on your Facebook page.
For digital products, below are some of the platforms I use to sell digital and downloadables:
- My website
- Amazon Kindle
- Selar
- Flutterwave market place
- and I have a host of other places where I do affiliate marketing
So on my social media pages and on Facebook marketplaces, I add the links to the above portals to drive traffic. But before you do that, make sure you are a known contributor to the groups and pages you intend to use, so that you do not come across as a spammer.
Or better still direct attention to your own site where the actual sales will happen
NUMBER 3: Run a Facebook ad.
Many people think that running a Facebook ad will cost you a fortune, that is not true, however, you can lose money doing it the wrong way.
The good thing is that with a bit of learning, you can be up and okay with advertising on Facebook.
Simply following the instructions on the ad page will be enough for you at this time as you will have a hang of it as you run your first ad.
Pay attention to how much budget you set. And fund your account with as much money as you are willing to throw into the ad.
However, Facebook will most likely not use it up if you set your budget right.
So you see, there is nothing to fear with Facebook ads. But if you need help running your first ad on FaceBook, then check us out and we can work out something together.
Start out now, waiting for tomorrow will not get anything done for you.
Build a simple website
While this may sound optional, let the truth be told. If you need to build a lasting business, you will need a site of your own.
Think about it this way, if you build your business around someone else’s property, what happens to your business if they decide to shut you down?
Building a website is not as complicated as it used to be. All you need to do is
- choose and register a domain
- host your domain
- build your site
- incorporate e-commerce on your site
- direct customers to your site
- collect payment
Is that not simple? If you need help doing all of the above, feel free to contact us.
